49th Annual Viennese Ball

University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

April 5 and April 6 at 6:30pm 

The Viennese Ball is a formal event recalling the romance and elegance of 19th-century Vienna, Austria. The much-anticipated fundraiser for music, service, and international study student scholarships features traditional ballroom waltzing, a cappella performers, big band jazz, piano bars, polka, and a variety of authentic Austrian cuisine, elegant desserts, beer tour, and full alcohol service.

Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary

April 10 at 7:30pm 

A.J. Croce performs Croce Plays Croce, a special night of music featuring a complete set of classics by his late father Jim Croce, some of his own tunes, and songs that influenced both him and his father. This special event features such timeless songs as “Operator”, “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim”, “Time in a Bottle” (a song written for A.J.)“, Rapid Roy (The Stock Car Boy)”, and “Lovers Cross”, to name a few. Classic covers may include songs by Lieber and Stoller, Bessie Smith, and other folk and roots artists.

You Can Draw! Drawing Class for Beginners

Heyde Center for the Arts

April 13 from 10:00am – 4:00pm 

If you can ride a bicycle, operate a sewing machine, or drive a car, you can learn to draw, too! Drawing is a relaxing hobby, a foundation skill for all visual arts, and a useful tool in planning home and garden projects. Kay will alleviate your fears through fun drawing exercises. All materials are provided, including your own sketchbook and drawing tools to take home. Supply list to be sent upon confirmation of class. Some snacks and beverages will be provided, please bring a sack lunch.

Mark Nizer 4D

Heyde Center for the Arts

Making the impossible possible and the improbable probable, Mark Nizer has taken his one-man show to a variety of venues around the world. Mark Nizer’s show is a combination of original comedy, world-class juggling, movement, music, and technology that promises to deliver a spellbinding evening. Bring your smartphones as they will be part of the show as Mark takes them over and uses them to light up the auditorium. The show includes unique 4D glasses that will be distributed before the show so you can experience a new 4D world of lasers, music, and incredible depth of color. This family-friendly event is perfect for all ages and sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seats Mark Nizer is truly “the juggler your mother warned you about.” Or, if she didn’t, she should have.

Join us for an off-site Bb Brought to You workshop at Dixon’s Autumn Harvest Winery and Orchard! Just bring your creativity and a willingness to learn. We provide all the materials and instruct you step-by-step to create a beautiful piece for your home or for a gift. Choose from a variety of paint and wood stain colors in the workshop. Spring Fling Craft Fair at Dixon’s Autumn Havest Winery

Join us at Dixon’s Autumn Harvest Winery for our Spring Fling Craft Fair on May 25th, 2024! The craft fair will start at 11:00 am and will go until 4:00 pm. This event will be taking place outside. If you would like to have a booth at this event a single booth is $35.00 and a double booth is $55.00. All crafts must be hand made items.
