5 Ways to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Chippewa Falls

Are you looking for a fun way to spend New Year’s Eve?  Is the hustle and bustle of the season preventing you from spending quality time with that special someone in your life?  One thing seems to be clear, we all enjoy an adventure of some kind or another.  What better way to reconnect with that special someone than to create some memories of just the two of you. Chippewa Falls has plenty of adventures to offer, even on New Year’s Eve!

Here are 5 ways for you to experience the Chippewa Falls Area:

#1 – Leinenkugel’s Brewery. The most obvious and, probably, the most famous landmark in Chippewa Falls is Leinenkugel’s Brewery.  Leinenkugel’s has been around for nearly 150 years and their tours take you through you the historic brewery and educate you on the Leinenkugel family history of brewing.  You will have an opportunity to taste their world famous brews and shop for some mementos to take home with you.

#2 – Irvine Park Christmas Village

The Chippewa Falls Christmas Village, in beautiful Irvine Park, is transformed for the Christmas season and becomes a magical place.  The displays of life size Christmas scenes are reminiscent of the Victorian era and local historical replicas. These are transcended only by the dazzling display of over 60,000 lights.  Established in 1987, as an out-growth of the Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee, the Christmas Village has grown into an independent project of great size involving individuals, businesses, volunteer organizations, and city government.

#3 – O’Neil Creek Winery

O’Neil Creek Winery has been producing Wisconsin’s best specialty and fruit wines since 2009.  Unlike other Wineries, owner, Joe Wynimko doesn’t have a vineyard, he has an orchard.  With the right combination of sugar and yeast, Joe can turn any fruit or vegetable into wine. We know you will love getting to know both Joe and his wines!

For those who enjoy a lively celebration without having to stay up half the night, the Troppo Big Band Orchestra is for you. Big band jazz is improvisational, it celebrates personal freedom and encourages individual expression. Music from the Chippewa Valley’s best big band jazz orchestra starts at 7:30 and this year come early and enjoy a variety of appetizers along with a full bar to start the evening off right. You’ll regret it if you miss this fantastic end-of-year party, an event that must be experienced first-hand.  Grab your dancing shoes and head for the Heyde Center for the Arts on this special evening.

#5 – Pleasant View Bed & Breakfast Wine & Cheese Reception

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Pleasant View Bed & Breakfast!  Start the afternoon with an early arrival, check-in begins at 3:00.  Then join us in the Atrium for a Wine & Cheese Reception.  Relax by the fireplace with your hosts and other guests enjoying a quiet evening before heading out into the Chippewa Valley to ring in 2017.  So you say you don’t want to head out into the cold after having a couple glasses of wine?  No problem, there are several restaurants that will deliver dinner to the B&B!  On New Year’s morning you can either enjoy breakfast in your room, or head to the dining room and feast on breakfast with your hosts, Beth & Roger.  The beauty of it is, you decide which type of experience you would like to have.  Space is limited, so be sure to book your room today!
